‘For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
‘Serving is not something we do to check off a box, but rather it’s a lifestyle to adopt. Our goal and prayer is that serving in your community would be an integral part of your life.
Whether you are wanting to serve with your Group or you are individually looking for a way to serve, this is a great place to start. To find out about organizations in your community that you can serve with, start by selecting the city of your Hillside Campus.
Hillside is involved in global missions in three primary ways: mission partnerships, prayer support, and service opportunities. Each of our mission partners is a person or organization that shares a common vision and commitment to fulfilling the Great Commission. The greatest thing we can offer these partners aside from monetary support is prayer.
We believe in mission trips – especially when it comes to the spiritual development of students. We believe that sharing the love of Christ with others is important. Mission trips allow students to have fun, build friendships, and share the love of Jesus with people near and far.
As we announce student mission trips throughout the year, you can check back here to find out more information.
