Serving is not something we do to check off a box, but rather it’s a lifestyle to adopt. Our goal and prayer is that serving in your community would be an integral part of your life.Whether you are wanting to serve with your Group or you are individually looking for a way to serve, this is a great place to start. A TIME TO SHARE
A Time to Share provides Christmas presents for elderly with no family or no means to have Christmas. We provide brand-new, winter wear and some household items. These items include, but are not limited to sweatsuits, gowns, pajama sets, house shoes, and bath/kitchen towels.

What: Box and wrap gifts for each elderly person. As well as deliver gifts the first Saturday in December.

HOPE CHOICE PREGNANCY CENTER

The mission of Hope Choice Pregnancy Centers and Mentoring Programs, an outreach ministry of Jesus Christ, is equipping parents, teens and pre-teens to live lives of purpose, ministering to pregnant women and providing support to women and families through education and resources.

DOWNTOWN WOMEN’S CENTER | GRATITUDE HOUSE | HAVEN HOUSE

DWC is an outreach ministry that provides safe housing, Bible-based education, and employment opportunities for single mothers and women recovering from various addictions.

Serve with DWC

What: Sort and hang clothes at one of their thrift stores, cook a meal for the ladies at Haven House, or help answer phones at their main office.
FAITH CITY MISSION

Provide meals for homeless 3 times a day, 6 days a week. They also provide shelter, programs, and clothing for those struggling with drug and/or alcohol addiction.

What: Serve meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner), sort through donations, and also help during chapel services before each meal. 
FCA - FELLOWSHIP OF CHRISTIAN ATHLETES

FCA focuses on serving local communities around the globe by engaging, equipping and empowering coaches and athletes to unite, inspire and change the world through the gospel.

HEAL THE CITY
The mission of Heal the City is to provide quality urgent care for the uninsured of Amarillo. They also have a vision to share Christ’s love and hope with patients and volunteers alike. They host a Monday Night Clinic that is completely run by volunteers. They have a high need for Spanish Translators. Volunteers must fill out an application and meet all requirements per their website.

MARTHA'S HOME
Providing homeless women and their children with shelter and support while guiding them towards a lifestyle of self-sufficiency.

What: Help with social activities and tutoring or assistance with home maintenance and general mentoring. 
MISSION AMARILLO
Mission Amarillo exists to improve the lives of people in poverty in the Amarillo area. They run a year-round shoe closet and have three different mentoring programs.

What: Mission Amarillo needs volunteers to help with our shoe closet, as well as our two annual fundraisers- FamFest in May, and our annual banquet in October. We also need mentors who want to have an impact on a young man, young lady, or new mom. 
SHARING HOPE
Sharing Hope exists to assist women who are incarcerated, who are post-offenders, or who reside in addiction rehabilitation facilities. Sharing Hope provides Life Recovery Bibles, Bible studies, and prayer correspondence to these women. They also have a weekly jail ministry within Amarillo’s County jails, and they operate Patsy’s Place which is a transitional home in Amarillo. They are passionate about sharing God's love and hope through the teaching of His word and the equipping of life skills.

What: Grocery shopping, assist with cooking, host a gathering for graduates, donate a bible to be included in holiday baskets, provide hygiene or paper items.
SNACK PAK 4 KIDS AMARILLO
Snack Pak 4 Kids is on a mission to end weekend hunger for children and teens living in the Texas Panhandle. They provide children with brand-new, brand-name food for the weekend so they are prepared to learn on Monday morning.

What: Pack weekend meals for children to take home on Fridays. 
THIRD STRAND

Mothers helping mothers. The mission of Third Strand is to provide safe donor breast milk to healthy nursing babies who have lost a mother or whose mother is unable to breastfeed due to a serious or life-threatening illness.

The Refugee Language Project is an organization that is committed to removing language barriers, building leaders, and cultivating community.

THE PARC
The PARC (Panhandle Adult Rebuilding Center) is a place of hope. At the PARC people who are experiencing homelessness can spend their day in a safe environment where they also have access to classes, resources, and most importantly relationships that can help them discover or rediscover their identity and purpose. With identity and purpose, individuals gain a foundation on which they can rebuild their lives and break the cycle of homelessness. To find out more about the PARC go to www.theparc.net. EASTRIDGE MISSION CENTER

The Eastridge Mission Center provides services that meet the spiritual, physical, and social needs of impoverished families in the Eastridge neighborhood of Amarillo. The EMC provides an after school program where students can come have a free hot meal provided by the Kids Café/Food Bank. Volunteers also lead Bible studies, arts/crafts, and sports activities. Occasionally, there are sports tournaments on Fridays and Saturdays. Adults can also get help filling out government paperwork, job applications, etc. At the EMC people have access to healthy food grown in the community garden and greenhouse. Yearly events include an Easter party where Bibles are given to adults and children, there are regular cookouts throughout the summer, an August clothing outreach for those who want gently used back-to-school clothes, and a Christmas party with gifts for the children. MEDICAL CENTER LEAGUE HOUSE

The Medical Center League House is a home away from home. They provide housing, comfort, and support to families who have an adult patient going through medical treatments in Amarillo, TX. Families are able to have the comforts of home while also being near their loved one who is receiving medical treatment. Additionally, there are caring staff members who are always available to support families as they face stressful situations together. SHARING TREE
Sharing Tree is an annual celebration hosted by Hillside. It begins by collecting Christmas presents at all of our Amarillo and Canyon Campuses and then sharing them at a party held at the Amarillo North Grand Campus. At the party, parents are invited to come and shop for their children. For $5 or 5 canned food items, families can purchase 2 presents per child, with a max spending of $20 or 20 canned food items per family, no matter how many children they are shopping for. As we share with other families we empower them to provide for their own family and share their resources with groups benefiting the community, like the High Plains Food Bank and Mission 25:40. PICNIC IN THE PARK
Picnic in the Park is an ongoing service opportunity where we as a church we have the chance to serve a meal for the food insecure in downtown Amarillo. This is a great way for individuals, families, and groups to serve! Hillside provides this meal on the fourth Sunday of every month.
